I had the opportunity to review the TENWAYS CGO800S eBike a few months ago and was very impressed with it. It is a well-built, comfortable, and easy to ride eBike that is perfect for city commuting or leisurely rides. The TENWAYS CGO800S has a 250W rear hub motor that provides plenty of assistance when needed, and the 700C tires with front suspension provide a smooth ride on any surface. The bike also has a comfortable saddle and upright handlebars, making it a great choice for riders of all ages and experience levels.
I was recently contacted by TENWAYS to test their new CGO600 Pro eBike. I was excited to get a chance to test this new model, as I was impressed with the CGO800S. The CGO600 Pro is similar to the CGO800S, but it has a few additional features, such as being lighter weight, longer range, and a more powerful motor.
I have been riding the CGO600 Pro for a few weeks now and I am impressed with it. The bike is a lightweight, affordable, and stylish electric bike that's perfect for city commuting, running errands, riding to the track, trailhead, or gym for a workout, and just getting around town. With a powerful motor, long battery life, and comfortable ride, the CGO600 Pro is a great option for anyone looking for an eBike that's easy to use and fun to ride.
Pros
Price: affordable eBike, especially considering its features and quality.
Range: has a range of up to 60 miles on a single charge, which is more than enough for most people's needs.
Weight: at 37lbs it is a relatively lightweight eBike, making it easy to maneuver and store.
Features: powerful Mivice M080 350W motor hub, a long-range battery, and a built-in USB port.
Cons
The tires are a bit on the cheap side and could be more puncture-resistant, which would make it less likely that you would get a flat tire while riding in urban settings.
The headlight could be brighter to help with safer riding at night.
All aluminum construction - frame, wheel set, and fork - means a sometimes rough ride on bumpy roads and paths
Design and Features
The TENWAYS CGO600 Pro is a sleek and stylish eBike that's sure to turn heads. The frame is made of lightweight aluminum alloy, and the bike comes in a variety of colors to match your personal style. The CGO600 Pro also features a comfortable saddle, ergonomic handlebars, and an integrated headlight and taillight.
The CGO600 Pro is powered by a 350W brushless motor that provides plenty of power for hills and acceleration. The motor is controlled by a three-speed pedal assist system controlled by the small panel on the left handlebar, so you can choose the amount of power you want to use to support your effort. I find the hills around town are pretty easy to ride in the most powerful mode, despite only having single speed gearing. The CGO600 Pro also has a throttle, so you can choose to ride it like a traditional bicycle or use the motor to give yourself an easy boost. The bike comes with a 360Wh battery that provides a range of up to 60 miles on a single charge. My 8 mile commute to work and 8 miles back home only drained the battery charge by less than 25%, so I think that’s a reasonable estimate of range. The battery is integrated into the top of the downtube and I found it really easy to remove and reinsert. I personally like the battery to be on the upper part of the downtube as opposed to the bottom. You can also charge while the battery is still in the bike, since the insert is exposed with a rubber flap cover. The CGO600 Pro even has a built-in USB port that you can use to charge your phone or other devices on the go.
At 37 pounds, the CGO600 Pro is one of the lightest eBike on the market. This makes it easy to maneuver and sling over your shoulder to put into storage, and it also makes it a good choice for riders who are looking for an eBike that's fairly easy to ride up hills. The CGO600 Pro has a front and rear hydraulic disc brake system. This provides awesome stopping power in all weather conditions. I’m a big fan of equipping eBikes with hydraulic disc brakes for ultimate stopping power. The bike also has a single speed hub, which is super easy to maintain and provides a smooth and efficient ride. One feature that I love are the integrated lights, which makes it safe to ride at night. The front light is moderately bright and provides decent visibility, while the rear light is visible from all angles. The lights are powered by the bike's battery and turn on automatically when you start riding. I only wish the front light were brighter so it was easier to see in areas without street lamps at night.

The TENWAYS CGO600 Pro has a more performant geometry compared to the CGO800S, but it is still comfortable to ride long distances. The bike is available in three sizes: Small, Medium, and Large. The Small size is ideal for riders who are 5’0” to 5’6’, the Medium size is ideal for riders who are 5’6” to 5’10”, and the Large size is ideal for riders who are 5’10” to 6’2”. I’m 5’6” and received the Medium frame - I wish I had the Small frame size because the reach is just a little long for me even after adjusting the stem and seat position. So, if you’re like me and have a short torso, I would go with the smaller size if you are on the boundary of height for size. The TENWAYS CGO600 Pro also has a comfortable adjustable saddle and an adjustable stem, so you can find the ideal fit for you that is either more upright or aggressive. The saddle is wide and well-padded, providing good support for your back while not being too wide that performance pedaling is compromised.
Ride Quality
The TENWAYS CGO600 Pro doesn't have suspension and is an aluminum frame with an aluminum fork with an aluminum rim wheelset, so the ride quality can be a bit rough on bumpy roads. The tires are CST Puncture-proof 700C, which I’ve never heard of before. They are fine in testing, but I don’t know the long term durability and they don’t have the same namesake reputation for durability and flat prevention as a Schwalbe tire. Overall, the ride quality is good, but it's not as smooth as some other eBikes like the Priority Current or even the CGO800S that has front suspension. Differently put, if you're looking for an eBike with a more comfortable ride, you may want to consider a model with suspension, which can be especially important if you live in an area with a lot of potholes or other rough roads. Thankfully, the bike paths around my home are easy to access and provide a really smooth and safe riding experience.

Overall: Value for the Money
The TENWAYS CGO600 Pro is a good value for the money. It's a lightweight, affordable, and stylish eBike that's perfect for city commuting or leisurely rides. The CGO600 Pro also has a powerful motor, long battery life, and comfortable ride. At $1,999, the CGO600 Pro is a reasonable price for lightweight eBikes. The greatest appeal of the bike is its simple design and the incredibly low maintenance it requires as well as the integrated lighting. This is a bike that can withstand the weather with long lasting and easy to maintain parts such as the Gates carbon belt drive, disk brakes, fenders, and automatic lights.
The CGO600 Pro is a bit unidimensional with a rigid front fork, but it makes up for the bumpy riding in how lightweight it is overall - it is an excellent option for roads and bike paths. With only a single speed gearing, the bike is powerful enough to keep pace with stop and go traffic as well as ascend steeper inclines on full power. As a frequent commuter, I love the fenders for wet riding conditions. With the 360kW battery, the range on the bike is excellent compared to other similarly classed eBikes.
Ride - 7/10 (Smooth, quiet, easy, but a little rough)
Fit - 8/10 (I don’t doubt my rating would have been better using a Small frame size)
Specs - 8/10 (at the price point, it is a great bike that can take you from A to B)
Fun Factor (out of 5) - 🙌 🙌 🙌
